Matt and Kerry share a dream of seeing the people of Johnson County flourish. They began Project Community in April of 2021 with the goals of growing discipleship, building community, and encouraging generosity. Their hope is that Project Church provides an atmosphere for Sunday morning worship where everyone can come in and feel like family.
Kerry serves as the lead teaching pastor of Project Church, is coordinator for Johnson County 100 Families and manages the daily operations of the organization. Matt works as the director of career services at the University of the Ozarks and serves as the director of Project Community.
They have two sons (Liam and Rylan) whom they enjoy going on adventures with and creating new games to play together. Their home is often filled with laughter and the smells of international dishes as they enjoy spending time with students from the university.
Jared and Kristy see the need for increased communication and cooperation between organizations in our community. Their wish is for Project Community to facilitate open dialogue, information, and resource sharing between non-profit organizations within and surrounding Johnson County as well as supplying direct financial and volunteer support toward such efforts.
Jared serves as the President of Project Community and helps to provide an analytical, realistic, and occasionally even skeptical view on opportunities that present themselves in order to promote the efficient use of non-profit activities. He works as a Field Engineer where he is responsible for inspecting products, services, and systems in regards to safety applications.
Kristy leads the Project Church children's ministry, organizes events, and assists with many day-to-day administrative tasks. Her heart breaks for kids who do not have what they need, including a loving home. She desires for kids to know their worth and that God loves them.
They enjoy spending time with their daughter playing games, going to the park, and listening to and playing music. Family time is central to their lives and they look for opportunities to make memories together.
