Many laws and ceremonies written in the Old Testament have to do with someone becoming ritually pure so that they could enter close to the presence of God. But, when Jesus came, he flipped the whole system upside down. Now, we are made pure when we cry out to God, invite His presence into our lives, and make room for Him to work through us.
