Project Batman was created as an answer to a need during the 2020 quarantine. It began as a hotline for people to call if they were unable to leave their house due to age or illness and needed someone to deliver groceries and prescriptions to them. Since then, it has grown into a partnership with our local food bank and has now served over 450 homes by delivering free boxes of food.
Project Batman operates as a ministry focused on showing love to the elderly and less fortunate populations of Johnson County. Beyond providing food box deliveries, we have built wheelchair ramps, mowed lawns, and spend time regularly with people fighting loneliness. This ministry was started as a way of meeting an immediate need and continues on in an attempt to serve those that may otherwise feel forgotten.
